What we collect

Name and email (via Clerk authentication)
Your journal entries
Generated stories and related metadata
Payment information processed by Stripe — Storylit does not store full payment card details on our servers

How we use it

We use your information to provide the service, generate AI narratives from your entries, and send transactional emails related to your account and activity.

AI processing

Journal entries are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. According to Anthropic's policies for API customers, customer data sent via the API is not used to train their models.

What we don't do

We do not sell your data. Ever.
We do not use your data for advertising.

Email

Email is transactional only (for example, story-ready notices and streak milestones). We do not send marketing emails.

Data retention

Your data is stored while your account is active. Deleting your account permanently removes your entries and stories.

Third parties

We rely on subprocessors including: Clerk (authentication), Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI), Resend (email), and Vercel (hosting).

Your rights

You may access, correct, or delete your data at any time, subject to account verification.
